360 rwhp w/ stock heads and CC305

I think after my true duals, 1.7 RRs, and Elec WP I'm gonna hit close to 360 rwhp w/ a CC305 and BONE stock heads. I'm guessing I'll be between ~355-360 rwhp and ~360 rwtq. I'm already about 335 rwhp, so we'll see. Should be fun! Comments............?

I hate to burst your bubble man, but I really don't think you're near 335 RWHP right now. Probably closer to 310 give or take.

With the 1.7's you may see 350-360, but bear this in mind:

a guy on here running the GM847 full bolt on's and stock heads only made 357 RWHP. That's a MUCH bigger cam too.

Good luck to ya though, it would be cool to be seen done.

So youre saying 40-50 hp with 1.7s?!?

If all you have is the 305, stock heads, unsure what else, given you have every other bolton, youll see around 320 at the most right now, unless everything is perfect...youll see max 340rw im guessing, just a guess though, prove me wrong!

Best of luck, but I highly doubt you see those numbers with stock heads and that cam.

I have a 305 cam, and non ported ,but polished heads with 1.6 rockers, comp springs recommended for this cam, minor mods like march pulley's, slp headers , 3.23 rear , 160* hyperstat, .. stock lifters.. 52mm throttle body .. cold air ind. ..

I'm really only hoping to get to 350 rwhp from this... Even if i have to add a few other mods... Will i see this?

If not, it's still fun

Hotcammed cars are putting down 320-350rwhp with stock heads the cc305 should make more power.Good luck!

Dude,
I dynoed 315 rwhp and 324 rwtq w/ 1 5/8" shorty headers and a cat, w/ non roller rockers. So much for your 310 theory. Since then I've added the Jet hot LTs, take off the cat, and did the TB bypass (dyno proven 6 rwhp). That brings me to my estimated 335 rwhp and 340 rwtq.

These are my guesses for gains:

1.7 true roller rockers ~8 rwhp
3" TRUE DUAL exhaust ~12 rwhp
Elec WP ~ 6 rwhp
+ new tuning worth a few hp.

That's an estimated 26 rwhp not including the tuning.

Even 330 + 26 rwhp is 356 rwhp, and I'm confident I'm closer to 335 rwhp. That's why I think I'll possibly hit the 360 rwhp mark. We'll see though. It'll be a couple months.

You can't stack horsepower like that.

I'm gonna say 340-345rwhp max after all your mods.

And the TB bypass doesn't "ADD" 6 hp. It keeps you from LOSING 6hp when your car is hot.

But post a dyno sheet and prove us wrong.

Instead of guesstimating, why not put it on the dyno as it sits, then again after the cam and rockers and stuff. Then you'd have hard numbers to back up your claims.

I reckon anywhere from 340-360hp. It's an M6 eh! Quite a few M6-dudes have put down good numbers with the 305 and stock heads eg. Rumair (348hp?) with shorties! Good luck.

I am convinced that 360 RWHP on stock heads on an M6 car IS possible. In fact, if I had an M6, I'd have those numbers now.
My A4 dynoed 348 RWHP with stock heads, stock TB and through a catback.

Not sure if 1.7RRs on a 305 is a good idea, but if you still want to do it, you will need better springs.

As already said (and many other millions of times on here) stacking HP won't work on this forum. IMO guesstimating isn't worth a damn thing either.

I guess, my y-pipe (~12), !CAT (~10), cat-back (~15), airfoil thingie (~3), TB bypass (~6), rockers (~12), CAI (~12), etc., etc., hell I should have about 400 hp to the wheels with all the power mods I have.

Put it on the dyno BEFORE and AFTER.

For sure it is possible! If i didnt have a 12 bolt i may have 370 even. But neither of us are running a 305 either

1.6 rockers

are 1.6 rr ok for the 305? what rr do you guys think are best for this cam , and what springs? I was going to just order the springs recommended by comp cams, but that's for stock rockers im assuming...
