355 vs 383

355 vs 383

okay guys i am thinking of building a motor , just don't know which route to go . should i go a 355 LE setup or a 383 LE setup. what r the diffrences of going each route. money wise and parts.as of now i have an LE1.5 setup on my stock bottom end motor.but i want to go all out on this one and i want to do it right so any suggestions would defintly b appreciated . thanks josh.

a 355 is a bored 350 where as a 383 is a bored and stroked 350. If you want to replace crank and rods go 383. If you just want to replace pistons go 355. I really don't know what the 355 LE setup consist of but as said a million times " there's no replacement for displacement"

If you're going fully forged, go 383. It's really not that big of a price difference, maybe a couple hundred bucks... If not, go 355 and reuse the stock crank.
