350 hp and 400 lb ft.... How hard?

I'd like to make 350 hp, and 400 lb ft, not sure at the wheels or the crank, doesnt matter too much i guess right now.

Right now my car is stock, just the SS goodies, and I'd like to make 350/400, so what am I going to have to do to get this?

I want the most cost effective, not the cheapest, cause I want good parts, and have the amility to go for morepower later, but while I'm in school 350/400 is good for me.

What do I need?
headers (can I get away with SLP shorties?)
cam...?? (I'd like a lumpy idle if I can)
1.6 RR

what else?? I think that would only get me to 320hp and 360tq ish maybe..

well first of all it makes a big difference if you want to see that at the rear wheels or at the engine...for rear wheels, go with bolt ons + decent cam (check out www.cmotorsports.com for a recommendation). If your looking for 350 at the engine, just the bolt ons should do that for you.

BIG cam and heads should net you 400RWHP, considerably above your stated goal.

So I shouldnt have to dip into the heads?

Would just LT4 heads show much difference? or save my money.

So Cam, 1.6RR, headers, and head work?

How much head work needs to be done? cause well a good set of heads cost a fairly large amount.

I reallike like them C motor Sports heads,

any have an idea on the cost of the advanced induction stuff? I hate how it says call for price.... why cant they just list it?

Thanks for the help, I thought it would be harder then that to get 350/400 at the crank even, so at the wheels is the goal I would like I think.
