335's in the back

Question for anyone that has big big tires in the back. I know 315's with the proper offset and back spacing will work but what about 335/35/17's? I'm planning on mounting them on 17x11 ZR1's with a 50mm offset in the back keeping in mind that my car is lowered with the sportline drop.

Any input boys?

The 315s with the 11" rims really don't fit right so I
doubt a wider tire will be anything but more trouble.
I went with a custom 10" wheel with the 315s and
saved myself from having to beat the hell out of my
car.

315s on a 17x11 with the right offset fit just fine without ANY beating.

Wait and see if kmook replies to this thread. I believe he ran 335's out back on his 97 without problems.

Get the right offset for 315s, but put a 1" spacer in there, you are going to have to sacrifice sticking out of the wheelwell, Im quite sure that the 315s are extremely close to the well, nowhere to go that direction. No experience with them though, just what i think

Yeah I don't quite understand what you're saying.

I know for a fact 315's are no issue, longer studs and that's it. As for 335's it's a whole new story specially on a lowered car, (sporline drop).

The other reason i'm looking into 335's is mainly because I like the the tire selection better.

Great price on these bad boys!

Whats to understand. Buy the exact setup you would to run 315 series tires. Then get a 1" spacer to put in between the hub and the wheel. This will push the rim out further, hense fitting the wider tire. But it will stick out at least an " from the wheelwell

I have 315's on the back. The only problem I have with them is that no ones has the tires I want in stock. . Other than that they fit like a champ. I just had my body shop roll the fenders so that when it bottomed out it didn't cut the tire.

Exactly like I said the tire selection for 315's is not the best. I really don't want to end up buying sumitumo tires and putting them on such beautiful wheels.

I have been running 335 Pilots on the back for about three years with the Eibach Pro springs. I'm using AFS rims, no spacers. I rolled the fender lips just to be safe. Going in a straight line is no problem. When cornering the tires hit the LCAs first. Swaped in Spohn replacements. I had to dent in the inner fender wells ubove the LCA. unless doing really quick lane changes back and forth, no problems. In spirited driving no problems. However, when I buy new tires I will drop back to 315s.
