and fit them on the stock 96 ws6 rim.

Maybe doable but not desireable.
315s should be on a 10 - 11' wheel. They are too wide for the stock wheels. You won't get the look or performance for the $$ you will spend on them. Mike

 

it will look and be very bubbly, and when its bubbly, u wont get anything out of it... it wont even look like a 315, biggest u can go on the 17 that'll look nice is 275, and maybe 285, even 295 would make it a bit bubbly

 

You could do it if you widen the rim.
