3100 series lobes again

Ok if I get a cam made with these lobes is there anything besides teh springs that will wear faster? Are they expensive? Also how long before I should check the springs to make sure they are still decent? Im getting comp pro mag rockers sometime and wondering if I need them or if I could go with teh less expensive comp mags and woudl you recomend 1.5 or 1.6 ratio for a street driven car, I know the lift is already really high even with 1.5's.

whats the lift on the cam. and what cam are you going with a custom grind or what.

if you put the 1.6 rr and you get the lift to high then you my create turbulence in the heads. if you can keep the lift where the heads perform best and match the cam to heads. you will make more power than going with a huge cam because it looks good on paper.

but ive never heard of any problems running 1.6 rr on the street.

oh and dont forget about piston to valve contact either. how hight are you looking to go on the lift

I am wanting to buy the comp pro mag roller rockers for 244 at thunder racing and want to know where I should cap the lift in a street car, the cam would be run on stock heads till I got them ported or maybe I would just save up adn do both at once.

if i were you i would get the heads first have them flowed, then match the cam.

the lift is not what gets a street car its the duration. long as your vavle can handle the lift hand you dont have pistion to valve contact. you will be ok on the lift. there are a few people running .600 lift.
