Is a 3000 stall too much for me

I'm looking at a vig 3000 stall, is it too high for my cam? I was thinking more like a 2600-2800. Would getting a lower stall provide much more power? or is there a real difference.

thx...

Definitely not too high at all. With your mods, I might even go with a 3200.

I am using a 3600 currently, and did so before my cam swap.

I agree. I am running a 3200 without a cam. I would suggest at least a 3000, you might even consider bigger

stock impala baby cam with a Vigilante 3200 stall has been working great for years. Combined with the 4.10s it really blasts my boat outta the hole. Sometimes I wish I would've gone bigger....

Re: Is a 3000 stall too much for me

I have a 2800 Edge in my Caprice, Berly_Bonestock from this board was in the car with me one day and said I should get a high stall as we puttered through town, then we got to the outskirts and I floored it and he just said OH. It drove that well in town that he thought it was stock, me behind the wheel but the exhaust is loud enough for the passenger to know what the rpms are. For a lighter f-body with as much cam as you have I would not consider anything below 3000 in a QUALITY TC like Edge, Vig, Yank. A cheap TC can drive baddly even with a 2600 stall hence the caps for QUALITY.
