Hi,

I have a question regarding pricing on a 3 angle valve job. Is there any shop that does it? How much does it cost? If anyone lives in Orlando, FL could you tell me where I could get this taken care of? I recently had new heads, gaskets and many other parts put into my car. The mechanic that worked on my car told me a valve job was needed to stop my LT1 from sounding like a diesel truck and to stop the shaking. Is this really what I need after this kinda job? Also the steering is hard and I put power steering fluid in it. What could this be?

 

any auto machine shop should be able to do a valve job, i think i paid something around $100 for both heads

 

By sounding like a diesel truck, do you mean the engine clatters? If so, that's probably related to a valve adjustment, not a valve job. You can do it yourself and it's pretty easy. Here's a link to SHoebox's website that tells you how....
