3/8" studs w/ solid roller?

Is anyone running 3/8" studs with a solid roller?

I will only rev to 7000 RPM with 230# seat pressure.

Is this a bad idea?

Why? You spent all that dough on a solid roller setup, and wont buy some $20 studs?

Some people think they are sufficient, but how much lift are you going to run? A solid is going to be harder on the valve train, for the sake of having long lasting valve guides I'd get some 7/16" ARP stuff and then look at locking them down from there if you want even more security.

Yeah, the studs are cheap, but my roller rockers are for 3/8" studs. I'll be running about .620" lift. Good point about valve guide wear, though.
