Question 3.73 series

does having the 2 carrier 3.73's make the rearend weaker by not being a 3 carrier?
also for all the ppl who has these gears does your's whine? mine do really bad after the car sets for a few weeks....then gradually gets better....the are STRANGE gears btw.
if they whine does that mean they are more likely to break???
thanks
Jesse

the 2 series carrier has a thicker ring gear than a 3 series. they are stronger.....most aftermarket gears whine....richmonds being the most.

if you hook, it can blow up, u never know.
some guys run 10s on their stock rear with mickey thompson ET streets cutting 1.4 second 60' times, and other guys break their rears stock....personally i would run street tires and go easy when launching.....i wouldnt wana hook with that combo, thats for sure!

heh just go easy when launching and you'll be fine with the street tires (as long as the track is prepped good)
good luck!
