Question 3.23 gear guys (A4's), come in...

Can you tell me exactly what your rpms are at 60mph? I'm pulling exactly 2000rpms at that speed...How about at 70 then? I'm right at 2300ish...At least that is what my tach reads...

I've used the F-body.org calculator, but I want some real life examples from members on the board w/ the stock 3.23's in their LT1's...

Thanks guys,

Mike

My rpm's are 60 - 2000, 75 - 2400, 80 - 2600, 90 - 3000, 100 - 3200.
My tires are 275/40/ZR17. I hope this helps.

when i had my 16's on the car, it use to read 80mph being 2400rpm. I think 60mph was around 2000rpm as well. Now I'm on 275 front 315 rears, so I have to re-check to see what it runs.

On my car 60 is at 1900 rpms and 70 is at 2000 rpms. I have factory 16's with 245/50/16's.

On my daily drive I set the cruise at 64 and my rpms are always at about 1950.

Well, it sounds like I definitely have some 3.23's in the car then (even with the slight discrepencies from tire size & guages). I currently run 245/50/16's...

Just curious because the previous owner said he thought 3.73's were in there, but I didn't think the car was turning enough rpms to actually believe that...Not to mention Madwolf scanned my car for me with Tunercat before he downloaded his performance tune back in the winter and he said that there was no sign my car had its PCM recalibrated for newer gears...

Yep, time for some 3.73's for sure now once I get the trans replaced!

Thanks for the info,

Mike
