what is ment by deconing the SLP 2OTL exhaust

I'm going to guess that they mean that SLP is discontinuing production
on their 2OTL (Two on the left) catback system.

I didn't see them on their site when I checked today.
They have their modular setup (Loudmouth, Loudmouth II, etc...)

Some production SS's had a "cone" (reducer) on the inlet side of the muffler to reduce noise (for gov't requirements). Note that this was on production cars from SLP only. De-coning involved removing the muffler and extracting the cone. It was commonly called "the cone of silence". I have not heard anyone talk about it for a long time, since it was around the 96 or 97 model year that had them.
