Is a 2600 Stall converter good for me?

Hi all,

I am getting ready to put a stall converter in my 4l60e. I currently have the mods in the sig and also plan on doing in the near or semi mear future.

3.42 or 3.73 rear end
A really good set of ported/ polished heads and intake manifold.
all the rest of the bolt ons
Nitrous works 125 shot system.

I have 285/40/17 street tires. which is all i will be running on this rear end.

Now i have heard when you do a stall, It gives the transmission a slugish kind of slipping feel unless you at WOT. My car is a daily driver and and i want it to feel moslty like it does now except stall higher when i really get on it.

Also what other things could i do while the trans is out? I have heard of a corvetter servo or billet servo? What does this do?

Also i think i have a shift kit already( told by the previous owner and shifts harder than my old vert z28) Is there anyway to check?

What is the best tranny cooler?

Thanks
Shawn

Youll lose a little on the track having a 25-2600 stall instead of 3000 or so but around town it will feel better , you'll be fine.

I agree with Geezer. I would suggest a 2800 at least.

And definitely get a real good tranny cooler while you are at it. I too agree with a 2800.
