24# injectors, are those stock???

I have a 95 with full bolt ons and true dual exhaust.
I was on a site that was selling Svo injectors for $329.00
I hear SVO's are good injectors. I am also putting in the hotcam.
will 24# injectors be ok??? I'm not sure what stock is anyway. But
I dont think I need bigger injectors than 24#

So By me going with the hotcam, does not mean I have to go with

93 is 22# also, just checked on speeddensity.org.

However, there is a guy on there making over 340rwhp/rwtq with a hotcam, ported heads, and ported intake... all on stock 22# injectors...

so 22# should be ok, and the 24# should def be ok.

http://www.geocities.com/scwizzo/graph.jpg

Shows how much horsepower an injector can handle at 85% duty cycle.

Not really. They are 85% duty cycle like they should be. Maxed out would be 99% duty cycle

When figuring injector sizing use your FW HP. A quick way is to multiply it by
.07 to get the size at 80% duty cycle.
Your 351 RWHP plus 15% drive train loss will be 403 FWHP, times .07 equals 28# injector.

That would be a huge loss. On a 300 hp engine you would have 225 at the wheels. It is usually around 15%.

And I was wrong, the graph is for flywheel hp, not rear wheel horsepower. So you're 24#'s are probably about maxed out.
