Since you'll have to rebuild the tranny at some point anyway I'd go ahead and do it.

I did notice this though. I had mobil 1 ATF in my car, and sometimes it would bang the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift. As soon as I put the stall, cooler, and some Maxxlife ATF in I don't have a problem anymore. Maybe it's the fluid?? I dunno, cause the converter should have made my problem worse.

I've been using regular Valvoline non synthetic ATF for a while now.. no problems...

I'm not sure the tranny is going south (in my case).. I think it's just the heat, but I may just do a performance rebuild *before* it breaks when I up the stall.

I am probably gonna go ahead and install the tranny cooler I have, and go with a non synthetic oil (currently mobil 1 synthetic)and see if the problem persist, If not I believe for insurance purposes I will have it rebuilt and take it from there....
