2 questions Brakes and muffler

1st. I just changed my brake pads to try to fix this prob but didnt work. When i hit the brakes at high speeds 75+ it seems like it takes forever to stop and i have to step on them preatty damn hard. And at low speeds it seem i have to push the petle all the way down to come to a stop.

2nd. My exaust is leaking and sounds like s#it. If i take it off from till i get it fixed will that efect the performance at all? have stock everything. Will it harm anything else?

Brakes----you need to make sure there is no air in the line...also you should replaced or had the rotors turned....

Exhaust leave it be until you fix it

you do know that the lt1 brakes are pretty much the worst brakes possible to try to slow down a 3700 lbs camaro/firebird?!!

they pretty much suck! we know it...that's why there are 101 upgrade kits. particularly the ls1 upgrade if you are on a tight budget.

1- Bleed the brakes and see if that helps. Use DOT3 fluid. The LT1 brakes are subpar for what they need to do, but they should not be excessively weak.

2- Where is your exhaust leaking? You really don't want to take the exhaust off anywhere before the y-pipe/cat. Removing teh catback won't really hurt/help performance, but I would just leave it alone until you can get it welded/repaired/replaced.

Post exhaust

it is leaking from the muffler its self (from hitting it with hammer to get it off ) and to where it conects to the y pipe. It really sounds like s#it. LOL talking about s#it a honda civic with twin 6" tips-coffee cans was at the car wash with me he started it and god was it awfull!!! worse than my lawnmower...wish i had my hooker headers and cat-back on.
