2 exhaust problems

I run open cutout and a corsa catback. I was wondering, lately, theres an extra rattle when driving at a certain rpm that is very annoying, its a high pitch rattle. All my body panels and stuff is tight along with antenna and stuff. I have been listening outside the car, and my whole exhaust pipe sounds like it is rattleing. I was wondering if there is anything wrong and how do i find where it is/fix it.

Also, one of my tips is lower than the other which has always been that way. I think i saw a post about this a day or two ago so ill search for it but thought id add a mention about that too.,

Will it make the rattle if you lightly bang on the exhaust with the palm of your hand? I know mine does, and I think it's comming from directly inside my muffler....

Just get under the car and start and have a listen. Thats probably the best way you'll find the rattle... also try grabbing things as you bang, and see if it muffles or even stops the rattle. Then you know your close.

Your exhaust might be rattking on that cross support piece behind the tranny that dips under the driveshaft and exhaust. I know had that prob at one point. Mine is auto, I don't know if the man is same or not

I believe that is where mine is rattleing too, how do i fix it? It actually sounds more towards the rear. also, i checked my catback, its got one hanger welded on each side, is there anyway to adjust the hangers without having to weld?

When it happened to me, it was when had gutted my cat and welded it back in while under the car.(should've taken the y pipe out) it cocked a little and when I bolted up the pipe behind it, put a slight twist in the pipe pulling it down just enough to vibrate on that support piece. Try unbolting the cat connection and supporting everything correctly when you retighten. Should be able to fix it that way.

I will also mention mine was a stock system. Don't know if yours is and what's different on it. I just had the one hanger at the cat connection.

Loosen the pipe clamp ahead of the cross member it is rattling on. Apply either upward pressure to the tip that is low or downward pressure to the tip that is high (or both) so as to rotate the mid pipe away from the crossmember.Be sure to over compensate enough so that when you tighten the pipe clamp and relieve the rotating pressure on the tips both tips are even and the mid pipe is far enough away from the crossmember to eliminate rattles.
