2.73 vs. 3.23, How much quicker?

My brothers car is a 3.23 a4 96 formula
My car WAS a 2.73 a4 97 Trans Am.
At the track we trapped nearly identically.
Though his times with the same 60' were about 3 tenths faster on average.
On the street from a stop we were close from a 45ish roll he would walk me pretty hard pretty quick.
It's a noticable improvement. So much so that the first chance I got at a 3.42 rearend I snagged it.
