I was wondering if I will even hit 3rd gear with a stock 95A4 w/2.73 gears
running a 26.5 inch tire?

I run stock size 245 50 16's, not sure the height of them, and I am in just shifting into 3rd near the end of the track. I would guess maybe about 150 - 200' from the end. But Yes You should be in 3rd at the end of the track. There would be no reason to rev higher unless you making more power, but if your making more power then your MPH would go up, and then you will still be in 3rd because you would be going faster, it is all relative.

 

With my 2.73's i was crossing the line somewhere around 4 grand but i had my shift points moved up as far as they would go when i had the hypertech. I was shifting at 6400 from 1-2 and like 6200 2-3 if i remember correctly (as high as hypertech would allow me to set it).
