Are there any probs with running 2.02/1.60's on a stock LT1 bore? I think I remember hearing something negative about this...or maybe 2.02/1.50's. Thanks in Advance

Stock LT1 heads? On stock castings, I'd only go 2.00 and 1.56-1.57. Which is exactly what I did.

Kain did you run those times without headwork? That's almost the exact setup I have minus the cam and I was hoping for impressive times like that. The addition of a CC306 and P&P stock heads will go in this summer.

Yup, those were on stock unported heads, I should be getting Lloyd Elliot ported LT1 heads in the mail Tuesday.

I picked up 7 tenths and 5 mph from just the cam, and I still have the stock 1.5 rocker arms.

I'm getting Lloyd's heads, 2.00 & 1.56 Ferrea valves, 1.6 RR's, and 30# injectors. I'm hoping to dip down to 11.50's, 11.60's.

I hope I can get near those times with the heads & cam install. How were the ET Streets on your rear? I was afraid to go anything better than DR's until I can get a better rear.

Rear, I haven't gotten any complaints from it, then again, I don't launch it hard too often. I imagine when I get my heads on, and I go low 1.6, high 1.5 60's, I'll be far in the breakage zone. TH400 and 9" rear are next on my list of things to do, along with springs and shocks.

Also as a plug, I'll recommend Lloyd to port your heads. He got them to me in a timely manner, did a damn fine job, and kept in touch with me. An awesome business man. They flowed 272 intake/190 exhaust @ .600 lift. Good enough for what I need my car to do. Not bad for $400 for porting, $200 for machining and assembly, and $220 for the valves.

Not bad prices at all. How long did it take to get em back after you sent them out?

It took 2-3 days to get them out to him, 8 or 9 days for the porting/machining/assembling, then 1-2 days back on priority. I was supposed to have them back Friday, but the post office messed that one up. Grrr. It wasn't Lloyd's fault.

But when it gets around tax time, he'll be flooded with heads and they'll take a while to get back, he said that was one of his busier times.

What's the best way to get ahold of him? Also I won't be needing them done til mid summer.

Just extra props for Lloyd... i've known him for a couple years and he does do damn fine work! He did my head and quite a few other guys i know.... always sweet work!!! When you ready to get a hold of him just throw up a post he's on here....

You can run a 2.02/1.60 on a stock head & valve seats, but if there's nothing else done, it's worthless. Get everything cleaned up and the valves unshrouded, then you're in business.

I was looking to aftermarket 2.02/1.60's, just making sure there are no bore-to-valvesize clearance issues with it

I have 2.02/1.60 valves in my Lloyd Elliot ported heads as well, and dont expect any clearance issues.
