There's no such thing as a 1LE a-arm. All f-bodies utilize the same suspension components except for the shocks, springs and bushings. Where did you get the idea that they were different?

I just had to get new lower front control arms, and apparently their is only one replacement part for all 4th gen f-bodies, and it's supposed to allow greater negative camber. This part supercedes ALL other 4th gen lower front control arms.

Hey Evan...how does your new a-arms compare to your standard issue parts, do they look the same or what, do they weigh less or anything?

Don't know yet, the shop is still waiting for them to come in. Apparently nobody around here had any in stock. It's been about a week now, so I'm guessing they must be coming directly from a GM wharehouse somewhere.

When I ordered 1LE lower a-arms from Del, he seemed to know what I wanted and didn't correct me (if I was using the wroong terminology). From various postings in the Autocross/Road Racing Forum, it would seem there are, in fact, 1LE lower a-arms. Maybe Jason Cromer could add something here...

Soooo...no one knows what differentiates a 1LE a-arm from standard issue? There has to be some kind of noticeable difference besides the additional negative caster that was stated in that previous post.

Well here's the scoop...I just got off of the phone with Jason Cromer and there is an a-arm under the 1LE option code. But, he believes that the a-arm is the same as standard issue, only the bushings are different.

the bushings are different. and not replaceable. if the bushings wear out you have to buy new a arms. $800 for the front , i checked on this about 6 months ago.

The bushings are replaceable. I replaced my bushings about 4 years ago with poly bushings. You have to burn the old ones out.
