1le elbow

is it worth gettin an aftermarker 1le elbow rather than a factory one. I hear mixed feelings on actual gains. Also the aftermarket ones are sometimes aluminum which hold more heat i would assume rather than the factory rubber. Thanks just need a quick opinion cuz mine cracked

Re: 1le elbow

the 1LE elbow IS a factory elbow. It is a GM part for cars with the 1LE package. It lookes exactly like the regular factory one, except there is no whole for the "donkey dong". Those metal aftermarket elbows are not worth it IMHO. The rubber 1LE isn't even worth the money unless you need to replace the one you have now anyway. Thats the only reason I got one... because my old one was ripped, and I think they are the same price, but not sure. Go with the GM 1LE elbow, only because you need a new elbow anyway.

Re: 1le elbow

the only advantage of the aluminum elbows is that they look like a performance part

Re: 1le elbow

If yours is cracked then defiantely buy the 1LE..its probably as cheap or cheaper than the factory one. I think I paid like ~$45 for mine from gmpartsdirect...my stock one was cracked and busted too.
