1997 z28 vs ss

what is the major diffrence between these two cars engine wise. just curious

I didn't consider the dual-cats and the CAI as "major" differences.

Well, since he said "engine wise"...

No difference. The SS has a ram air type hood and air intake setup and slightly better exhaust. The engine is identical.

I know you are also wondering which will run better, an SS or a Z...they should run about the same.

The SS has the appearance package and on paper, it is rated a little higher in terms of power.

If both have stock wheels, and the Z-28 has an exhaust/CAI, it will outrun the SS because of the smaller tires. Not by much, but it will be faster.
