Thanks a million guys! the shop said the radiator has a hole on it, also the milkshake substance is sealing adative that was added, so I'm on my way to buy a radiator and do a full flush on the system! Wish me luck!
Thanks!

Okay so it runnning a lot cooler. The car runs at about 180 on the highway but on the streets the temp goes up to about half way and sometimes after idiling it goes up to about 3 quarters of the way up. Do you guys know what the normal operating temp is supposed to be? For some reason I think that the fans come on way to late, is this how z28's work or do does my ride have an issue? Also where would I be able to find a manual switch for my fans? It would great if can enable them while in traffic just to cool the engine down.

sounds about right on the temps. Lots of people do the switch idea or get the PCM tuned to where the fans come on sooner.

Mine is tuned to where the fans are almost always running, and so the temp doesnt rise but barely over the 1/4 bar

So what specific part did you buy to have your Camaro run cooler. I want to have my car running at about 1/4. Thanks for the info!

The stock fans don't even start to come on until 223f or so. There is nothing wrong with your car if it does what you describe. To run cooler temps you'll need a lower temp thermostat and a computer reprogram. The reprogram will have to include a more aggressive timing routine or you'll actually make less power. I'd wait until you so other mods and get the tune for everything rather than do multiple times....

you can also hot wire the fans to a toggle, and turn them on when you want, also if you leave the stock wires in place and just splice into them your fans will come on at their normal times as well as whenever the circut is closed throught the toggle
