Re: 1997 Cluster pinout
Gotcha, they have totall different set ups....
I am wanting to get the RPM(tach) signal from the plug in. I know the wire is white but to me it looks like 2 white wires in the plug in.
I have tried to get the signal from the PCM area but for some reason it dont work. I have tried 2 different RPM Switches, I know I have power and ground, I just am not getting the signal for the RPM.
I could also get it from the coil area but not real sure which one to get into...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1997 Cluster pinout
If You Have A Multi Meter You Can Check The Voltage At The Coil Wires, Theres 4 Of Them. I Would Bet That It`s The White Wirs On The Coil Plug Aswell.
Put The Tester On The 12 Volt Scale And Start Up The Engine, Ground The Black Wire On The Multi Meter And Take The Red Wire On Your Multi Meter And Test The Wires At The Coil.
One Will Pulsate The Meter, Thats Your Tach Wire.
The Pulsatation Will Be Very Little So You Will Have To Look Closely To Catch It. This Is What I Have Always Done In The Past To Find The Coil Wire If I Coundn`t Pull A Diagram On It.
