1996 lt1 to lt4 conversion kit ???

1996 lt1 to lt4 conversion kit ???

i just bought a 1996 trans am with lt1 automatic i want to do some engine mods i would like to know is that kit going to give me a 100 ***** or is it all bull and i was also looking at 383 kits does any on know of a web page with the kits i was looking in the summit book but they dont tell you if there are for the lt1 sorry for all the ??s thanks

Go here. www.eportworks.com He can do better than the lt4 kit. More bang for the buck. Nice guy and he'll point you in the right direction.

LT1 is internally the same as any other one piece seal sbc engine so the stroker kits will work as long as they are for a one piece seal. I think all engines from 86 or 87 are one piece seal. You will need a internally balanced crank though to work with your stock damper and flywheel/flexplate.

what will give me more power the eport works kit or a 383 kit does any one know were i can find a 383 kit online every were i look the is 3 or 4 diffrent kits i dont know what one to get thanks

unless u know what your doing.. have money and time... stick with a 355 rebuild with quality pistons/rods and bolts... Save yourself the headache. And have Llyod do your heads.. his lowest price heads will and cam will make your car haul ***.
