Sounds way too expensive to me. You can find a decent z28 for 2500 to 3000 if you look around.

I would buy a better looking LT1 Z28, yeah its cheap! But your going to have to pay for the body work and rims plus the leaking oil issue. At the end you can buy another LT1 Z28 already in good order.

if your planning on an lt1 either way in your future, talk them down to $1k and use it for a parts car..

Yes def talk them down to at least 1200 Id say, buy another around your area in better condition and use it for parts. The ones in good condition around here go for 2500 to 3500 in the long run you will be better off. and would be spending a lot less money im sure. Those minor things add up. Good Luck either way.

WOrds of wisdom from a life long used car buyer. What ever you think it will take to make it run right and look right DOUBLE it and thats what you will have in it.
I just bought, 3 months ago, a basket case, fresh 383 stroker, with the oil rings installed upside down, one owner, Z, 6spd, 90k for $1500 only to have 6k plus in it. And its still not what I want it to be.. BUT I am very picky about my cars.
