1995 Z28 Throwing Code 29 and 48

The codes are as follows
29:Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump circuit
48 Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor circuit

For the 29, does that mean his AIR pump went?
and 48 i am assuming that the MAF needs to be replaced...
any other siggestions on possible causes/fixes?

My friend is getting these codes, under very awkward circumstances, the car runs fine for a couple of miles, and then a SES light comes on and the fans kick on when hes driving, when he stops.. SES light and Fan go off...

another issue that happens and turns the SES light on is when he is accelerating HARD and after the car has been going for a few seconds the engine cuts out and spudders, the next time the car stops it stalls and wont start for a good 30 seconds. at first i thought it was fuel related.. but now i dont know!

The MAF may not need to be replaced...I was throwing the same code on my car awhile back. Un plug the Maf and check the pink wire for a 12v signal. lots of times this wires breaks...just a thought. If the voltage is there, check the ground, if both of those are good then yeah, probably needs a new MAF

When my MAF went out I found one at a local boneyard for $50.00 that worked great. I then cut out the bridge and polished the inside for a little gain.

When my MAF code was thrown I discovered a tear in my intake elbow...replaced it and the code went away. This could be your problem.
