Are 1994 z28's, trans ams & firebird formulas as fast as eachother?

I just got a 1994 firebird formula today and i was wondering if they are just as fast as the z28's & trans ams. I ask this because i noticed the spedometer goes up to 120 on it and if i remember right, the trans am and z28 it goes up to 150. Am i mistaken or is there something in the z28 and trans am that make it faster?

Sounds like you got a swapped v6 to v8 bird on your hands =/

I thought cars that didn't come with Z-rated tires from the factory got the 120 speedo and the ones that did got the 150, not to many didn't but there were some that did

They are all basically the same. The speedo difference is because of what camarozz95 referred to.

They are the same except for some body panels and badging. I prefer ther look of the Formula to the Trans-Am.

yeah, the 120 speedo doesn't mean a thing for you...my buddy has a 93 Trans Am and he has the lower speedo...same engine, same car, same performance

formulas and Trans Ams have the same power, but the formula is often times lighter that the TA, since it is a stripped down version. idk if the difference in weight is enough to make a difference though.

I'm pretty sure you could get the same options on a Formula as the Trans-am. My buddy bought a '97 formula when I bought my '97 Z28 and both of us ordered our cars fully loaded.

The only difference I remember was that it looked more like the Firebird than the Trans-am as far as the body goes.

but the trans am has the extra ground effects and high rise spoiler. generally, the trans am comes loaded with everything, while there were options on the formula
