When I got my 94Z M6 last year I couldn't drive it for 2 weeks. That drove me nuts. Damn clutch was worn out, and gave no signs of it beforehand. Now my Spec Stage 3 Ceramic is going in tommorow. Good luck with the car, and don't get bit too hard my the mod bug

My car is Patriot Red also! Ours sound really similar, i have the Bose system too...just not the M6...i really want a Loudmouth exhaust system but i just dont have the $ right now. I also found out today my main front seal is leaking, not bad but a little...now i know what i smell when i get out of the car. Do any of you know on average what the parts cost to fix that? I have autoshop so i could maybe replace it in there. By the way our autoshop has a mid 80's camaro that we race at Qualcomm Stadium (where the superbowl was at) they have a 1/8 mi. thing there ran by Legal Race. It has a 383...NOS...i could go on for a long time, they just put a new torque converter today. Well anyways peace out everyone.

Congrats. Yeah have fun beating all the kids at your school. A bit of advice. If you dont have much money, then the best mod you can do is a cutout. 90$ after its all said and done, gives you more power than all others, and did i mention......loud!!!!!!! Other people will tell you different but for me (and some others), its the only way to go.

What exactly is a "cutout" and what does it involve?

Cut out is a small V shaped pipe. It has one large end which attaches to your existing exhaust (facing toward the motor. From there, it has two exits, one of which has a cap on it. One of those will be welded to your existing exhaust. The other (with the cap) will now jut out. When the cap is closed or ON; the car rides and sounds normal. With it open; you're basically running OPEN exhaust...it's loud and frees up some free HPs!

Yeah I remember the first few days I had mine. It was a week before I got my liscence in August and it sat in my grandma's garage like where it sits now. I was up there every day polishing the hell out of it. Got my liscnece and was driving my moms 98 Buick Ultra around the whole day. Then thought to myself, wait a second....I've got a Z-28 sitting up in that garage....

Went up and got it, took the T-tops off, and drove it from 5 to about 11.

Congrats on the '94, fun car huh. Sounds like yours is comparably equipped to mine aside from color. If $$'s tight you might want to consider some of the free/cheap mods (TB bypass, descreen MAF, lighten car, homemade CAI, cut-out etc...).
Have fun with the beast and maybe I'll see you on the road (Arctic White/Black roof Z).

You can buy a cutout for about 40 bucks out of summit( or you can spend a little more on the cable kind which you can open and close at will) But if you are like me then you will want to have it open always. Then take it to your local muffler shop and get them to weld it on for you. That ran me about 30 bucks. So basically, for about 70 bucks you can have an exaust system that will give you more hp than a cat-back and be louder. the only drawback is that it is only "supposed" to be used at the track. But cops around here dont care. A cop asked me once and i told him i had flowmaster turndowns and he was like........................"sounds good". Oh well thats just my opinion.

All the LM is, is basically straight pipes with a resonator. All the resonator does is soften the loudness...Alittle. The cutout has no restrictions(except for the Cat(if equipped)), so its louder.

BTW, i feel like an old man in here..lol...alot of you guys are saying you got your licenses not to long ago, i got mine back in '86..lol...oh well..boys and their toys has no age limits.
Congrats on your new toy.
