1991 LT1 install

Hi all. Im the newbie. New to this forum, anyway. Ive got a 1991 firebird, and just picked up an LT1 I plan on putting in in a few months. Ive got a transmission lined up, and an ECM and harness. Just need the sensors and accessories, and lines. I figured I would make my first post here, because Ill have tons of questions in the future about the LT engine.

Heres a picture. I already know its missing alot of stuff, and the fuel rail is wrong for the intake. Its a 1995 vette motor (it has the 4 bolt mains) and its clean as a whistle inside. Supposedly less than 40K miles, and it looks the part. Plus he painted the heads red.

that looks like a 93 intake, since it doesn't have the fuel rail cross over in the front.

Looks like you either need to get a 93 fuel rail, or a 94+ intake.

The 93 intake flows better because it doesn't have the crossover, so I'd stick with that

awesome, keep us up to date, look forward to seeing the finished product - one thing though, you might want to look for another lower pulley or clean that one up before putting a belt on it, it looks pretty rusty and may trash a new belt, JMHO

Sounds sweet man, I dont know if its just me but the driver side header looks more orange than the pass side. Are they two different colors or is it my old *** computer.

Yeah thats it. Went to Knoxville to get it yesterday.

There arent any headers on the engine, tha guy painted the heads. My headers are in the car, on the 305. Why, I dont know. And Ive already been told the bottom pulley isnt the right one anyway. Since Im in this far, I might just get a nice balancer, while Im buying stuff. Well see.

Thanks for the compliments. Ill try to keep my progress posted, but its going to be a bit slow for awhile.
