1989 camaro with a 94 block LT1

I own a 89 camaro that i got at a good price, the guy i got it from replaced the stock engine with a rebuilit and bored out 94 block LT1, I think most of the parts on the block came off the old 305 that was in it before, I have TBI fuel injection, and 40's series flow master exhaust, 5 speed, I added a 5 inch cowl hood, and some 67 corvette rally wheels and a paint job. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to what to do with this car, in look and horsepower.

I was also thinking about taking the air conditioning system out of it cause it doest not work anyways, i figure that is less weight and less for the engine to pull. good idea?

That dosn't look like an lt1 to me. LT1s don't have coolant passages through the intake and the thermostat is on the intake in that picture.

Not an LT1, dead-giveaway is the lack of the LT1 style waterpump.

No way around it on the reverse-cooling system.

maybe it's possible that a different intake manifold was used on just the lt1 block?

It's clearly not an LT1 intake but there aren't any coolant passages in the head that would feed the intake, so it wouldn't matter what intake manifold was used.

All v8 small block chevy's have the same external dimensions. What changes the displacement is the difference in the bore and stroke.

ok, i understand now. now i'm stuck with the question as to if this is a 350 or a 305, this sucks. What are some good mods you all think i can do with this engine?

Re: 1989 camaro with a 94 block LT1

Since the seller was either misinformed himself (or a bold-faced liar) about the LT1, I would tend to doubt that it is anything but the stock 305.

All the basic bolt ons such as headers, cat back, etc, that work for all other engines will work for your engine too. You would be better off asking that question in the 3rdgen board though.
