1984 Corvette block work in 1995 Camaro???

I've got a buddy who's tossing his 1984 engine for another. If that block is a 4-Bolt LT1, I'd like to grab it. For some reason though I'm thinking it may be an L88. Does anyone know if they are interchangable?
