A few of the supporting vendors carry them, Thunder Racing being one of them. They usually all run around 20 bucks.

Make sure you ask for the Hypertech #1008 or you may get the wrong one.

Don't go to Pep Boys and get their generic thermostat... it is different.

I ordered from SLP and they sent me a hypertech. Be sure to specify that it is for an LT engine. A standard SBC thermostat will not work

when you install a 160 thermo, do you have to reprogram the ECM? or does it just keep it there with no tuning?

No programming is necessary to use the 160° thermostat, but added benefit can be gained by lowering the fan ON temps.

Ya autozone will **** you over if you get their 160, it's an SBC not an LT1 thermostat. LT1's has that extension to cover an whole deeper in. Happened to me, I actually ran the sbc once for a while and seemed to run fine.
