13.1 on 50 $ tires!

got to run my car for the first time at the track with mods in sig, 90 degree weather and very crowded at the track.only got to run 2 runs.

run 1, babied it off the line hardly any stall ran 13.2

maximum stall was about 1500 w/ out wide open throttle untill rolling for a sec, so i wasnt out of control spinnin the tires. On the second run gave it a little more but definetly didnt give it all it had and posted an e.t. of......

.......13.1
60' 1.912
mph 104.02

any input on these times would be nice, my main goal is to break into 12's on crappy everyday tires. then hopefully slap dr's and run low to mid 12's. thanks for any imput.

Awesome man. Where did you find those tires. I'm running $99 tires right now, but I'd love to find something cheaper just to tear up in the summer.

sorry not to specify that, but the tires went out of production which you can find alot go to pep boys or discount tire and ask about stuff like that you can catch brakes all the time.

Not to bash or anything, but am I the only one who thinks that there's something wrong by looking at the mods vs. his times/E.T.'s???

I ran better than that with a bolt on car. You sure everything is in proper working order?

The key is the sorry *** tires. Can't use the power if you can't plant it.

I just switched from Visa to Falken tires and the difference in traction is unreal. Not to mention the falkens are H rated and only $90/tire vs the z-rated, $125/tire visas. I actually know what first gear is now lol.

Your trap speed is way down and I doubt you will go mid to low 12's if you don't find that missing hp. Looking at your times it does not appear that you were spinning bad at all. You launched good and it is doubtful you spun the tires that much in an auto at your hp level. Unless the weather conditions suck major *** where you live you are down a considerable amount of hp.
