12's Escape me again!!!!

Went to Fayetteville Speedway last night. Temp high 30's approx 55% humidity. I cant find my time slip so times may not be EXACT but are very close.

60 ft.....1.9XX was getting wheel hop pretty bad
1/8.......8.3XX
1/4.......13.02
1/4MPH..106.4

High 12's just seem to be slipping by me, I am so close I can taste it. I am running 100% stock suspension. If I can get some LCA's to help eliminate some of the wheel hop then I know I can get it. I also need a better stall converter. I am running a re-stalled stock converter so yes its a peice of junk. Heres the video of my run.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=KORsyGsKD7k 13.5 run...very bad wheel hop

No that was not on spray. I have another video, I am waiting for it to upload on youtube. Its a video of my 13.5 run but I am in the far lane and its a better video I think. I will post it when I can.

Don't worry, once you get a better converter, you'll be deep into the 12s. Any idea on what brand and stall rating your going to run? Just wondering because of the nitrous and how much that might effect your stall rating off the line.

I think I am going to go with Fuddle Racing converter, prolly somewhere around a 3000 stall. They are priced very good at around $450. They even come with a pretty decent warranty.

So when you use the juice, what RPM does it come on at? Any chance you can live with a 3200 or 3400 stall?

As long as the converter has lock-up for highway use, then I could probably use a stall that high. I have been thinking of putting in a bigger cam at some point in time so who knows, maybe I could use bigger then 3000.

Sorry, forgot that part. I have it hooked up to a full throttle switch. So it pretty much comes on whenever I want to it with the flip of a switch.

Thought it wasn't a good idea to spray before 3k? Anyways, if you get a window set-up for the nitrous and have it come on at 3k, your new stall might flash to more like 3200. Sounds like fun, and I'm going to give it a try myself in the future.

get some LCA's and relocation brackets..pretty cheap and they should let you use those tires a little bit better

let us know what you end up getting in the future, this is a pretty strong running car, its trapping pretty well!

So close.. dump some junk out of their and reduce the weight and you might sneek in some high 12s.

I have the spare tire and jack removed. However, the extra junk I have in the back kinda just puts the weight back in there. Just to name some of the stuff I have back there. Interior panels, half a jug of coolant, spare tools, couple magazines, and some nonsense stuff. I am ashamed, I let me guard down and it cost me
