You have an 11 second LT1 no dought about that,
But Im looking for people with stock Shortblock and heads running 11's. I know they are hiding around here somewhere..LOL
I am getting ready to start modding the LT1 and havent modded a LT1 in a while. I know high 12's are cake to reach but my goal is to hit 11's with a stall,gears,cam. Wondering what cam is doing the trick.

What suspension mods do you have done to your LS1 rob? I know you state it is a cam only car running 11's. Just curious what suspension setup your running, and full drag radials?

From what i recall there are like 2(sure there's more i only know of 2 though) people on this bored that have gone 11s with stock heads, na. Atljar is one of them, he was running the gm 847. It would be a whole lot easier to run 11s with some good ported heads and a custom cam.

While I think it's cool to see 11 second stock headed LT1's, I don't understand why people go through the trouble of modding an LT1 with lofty N/A track times as a goal and not plan on touching the heads.
If you're dead set on not doing anything with the heads get someone to custom grind a cam for you, that way you'll have the best chance of getting into the 11's.
If you don't spend money on the heads you're just going to have to spend it somewhere else to get to your goal- top notch converter, suspension mods, etc.

I was *that* close, and I spent 2 years trying to hit that goal. It wasn't my original goal but the car kept getting faster and faster so I made it a point to try and get 11's, but the car broke before I could get it and I changed my setup.
I went 12.06 @ 112.81 in a 3200 stall'd 3.73 automatic, running just a XE 224/230 (cc503) with boltons (minus electric waterpump at the time), and a mail order tune.
Had I had the electric water pump on my 4 12.0 runs I had, I would have made 11's.

I know its easier to run them with heads but I am focusing a small amount on the LT1. I want to get the LS1 repainted and buy some heads for it so I am trying to get there as cheap as possible. I seen atljar run his camaro At edgewater a few years back. Wasnt sure what all he had done but I knew he was NA with stock bottom end. Not to mention his Z28 is gorgous.
I dont want to do any head work for now.

Know what? I think you may have convinced me to change my goals back to an easily attainable 12.5...LOL..If I buy heads it going to be for the LS1.

all bolt ons, fms cam, cylinder head specialties heads, 9 inch and 4.30 gears.
engines got 93k on it.
once i get my high end miss fixed im sure i can get an 11.5-11.4 out of it.
