What part do you clean with a q-tip? Do you put the throttle body cleaner on the q-tip?

You clean the resistors that span the uprights in the MAF. There are three of them. Be VERY careful when you do this. I used carb cleaner and sprayed mine off and then used the tip of shop towel with some cleaner on it and gently wiped the resistors off!
Good luck!

i'd just like to add that if you have to also take the maf "apart". So take out the maf, then take out the 4 screws holding the sensor part in it

yes you have to take the sensor part out of the MAF to clean it. Just go for it and you'll see...

You don't have to take it apart. You can use those long swabs that they make. Almost like a one sided q-tip with a long handle. They sell them everywhere.

You'll just be wiping the back side of the MAF sensor - the side that doesnt get dirty... unless he's descreened it he'll have to take the sensor part out...

Do you think a bad tps sensor could cause this? Also when you change your fuel filter how do you releive the fuel pressure?

The shraeder Valve on your fuel rail... push a screwdriver in there and fuel will come out.

**Now my tip... I prefer not to do it that way. Why? because the fuel spill right on your engine and goes to waste. Also if your engine is hot you really asking for barbecue time. I get a container and get underneath the car with a wrench, and begin to loosen up the nut at the fuel filter and slowly begin to drain the gas down into the container... I changed my fuel filter that way just four days ago. Piece of cake. It wont like spit gass all over the place, not at all.. it will let you control the flow of fuel down to your container.

Mine spits fuel EVERYWHERE! So be careful with that method as well. Its my preferred method, but the first time I got an unpleasant shower
