First pass it popped out of 3rd about 1000 rpms too early..I coasted for a second..then I stuck it in 4th and ran it out. 1.50 60' and 11.10 at 122

Dropped 1/2 lb in the rears and tried again.

1.485 60' and 10.967 @124.96

..wooohoooooo...finally...made the 10 sec. pass. Now that the pressure was off and I settled back down. Made another pass..no changes to anything.

1.483 60' 10.969 At 124.86

It bogged just a tad on this run. I decided to see what the track would take so I turned my two step up to 5200(5000 before) and went on the two step at half throttle instead of barely touching it before. When I dropped the hammer this sucka stood up..well..stood up for a 6 speed..lol. Friends say about knee high..set em back down and ran it out

1.45 60' 10.93 @124.76

All I can say is finally

Now time to change everything and go faster...lol
What kind of internals? Hypereutectic? Forged?

Stock 2 bolt block...not splayed? Ive just been researching hypereutectic pistons and forged pistons and thought that hyper would be the way to go for an N/A setup...but I guess if you're making 10 sec passes forged would be the way to go?

forged or hyper will have no effect on what times you can run........it just changes how much power you can handle.

usually more power means better times

the forged setup was rated up to 800hp at the crank...the hypereutectic was around 500ish...

No problem..what you want to know. Ported stock lt1 castings. 2.0 1.57 valves, ported stock intake, AS&M 58 MM tb.

Ask away..I will answer anything I can.

Nope...wouldnt' fit and I was ready to get my motor back and in the car when we were putting it together so didn't look for aftermarket alternatives..

Thanks for all the comments on the 60's. I've been working on the suspension for a looong time now and seem to have sorted it out. I think low 1.4s are very possible with maybe a dip to a 1.3. Get the right suspension componets, right tires(I run 28x10.5 et drags), a good rear end and a good track and even a stock car can 60' well leaving on the rev limiter. The power doesn't hurt though.

4th gear, 6750 ish at the traps. Shifts are made in the 6800 range. Tires are MT 28x10.5s et drags. No welding..just ported as much as we could without breaking through.

I'm fighting a 6800-6850 studder problem up top. I need to shift at 6900-6950 for best results.

My car runs 12's, and after having my *** handed to me by a few local Supra's and 300ZX's (This Supra runs mid 10's on a completely stock longblock w/ over 200k), I've been contemplating selling my TA to buy a Supra... your car has given me hope.

This is my problem.. For $35,000 including purchase, paint, converting to a single-turbo set-up, changing the trans and TC, lots of tuning and a few small mods... my friend has a car that out-runs a Ferrari ENZO (straight line anyway).

I don't guess you want to answer how much money you have in the car. I know... a high mileage Supra runs about $20k. So just say for $15k of mods (starting from scratch on a stock LT1)... can you get in the mid 10's n/a w/ a LT1 F-body. I don't want to strip the thing down to bare bones, and spray the hell out of it to get the times.

I'm thinking the Eng, trans, and rear alone is gonna be about $8k. Not counting all the mods I already have and all the suspension components I need.
