1 cylinder running hot
1 cylinder running hot
Hi all
My car has not been running right lately, feels like a miss under load. I got my digital lazer thermal gun to do some troubleshooting. All cylinders at idle with the engine warmed up are around 325 degrees when measured at the header port right next to the head. The only cylinder that is different is cylinder number 2. It is reading 1600 degrees. Now this cylinder is behind the alternator and does not get airflow, but still that is quite a difference in temps. Any ideas? Car starts and idles well. I pulled the plug and it looks black like gas fouled. It was not wet and black, but all others were white/ tanish.
Let me know
