1.7RR + Stock Cam = Specs?

I was curious what my profile would be like with this combination as I need to see if it would be right for me.

in.505, ex. 520 lift @1.7 for a 96 stock cam.
I'm not sure if the 97 cam is different, but it wouldn't be by much

this is based on .447, .459 for 1.5 lift

I'm getting .507/.520, but yeah...I'd replace those springs though....1.6rrs on stock springs = very close to bind already.

Thumbs up Re: 1.7RR + Stock Cam = Specs?

Thanks, I appreciate it.

I'm actually putting on some ported AFR 195cc heads that come with some springs that can handle those lift numbers. I'm thinking about still upgrading to some beehive springs and a Hydra-Rev kit for when I eventually do the bottom end. I'd like to do the cam now also, but am afraid of spinning a bearing on my original 130k mile motor. This way the heads would be ready for when the new short block (eventually) comes.

I'm also pondering if I should upgrade the lifters now, or wait for the cam.

Too bad short blocks don't grow on trees.
