1.7 RR's installed ??????'s within

Hey guys, we just installed some 1.7 RR's (Scorpian) on my 96 Trans am.
We used 7/16 Studs, EX hardened pushrods, Ex 614 spring (.550 lift max) Seals, Gm guideplates, and a few other little odd end stuff. The install was done with the heads still attached to the motor, we used the KD tool, (nice but kinda of hurts the hand a little.) I believe the Lift on the cam is now .510 on the intake and .521 on the Exhaust, (can someone verify that). I also installed about a week ago a True duel system with an X-pipe.

Heres a Few questions I have.

I just changed my oil about 300 miles ago, should I worry about shavings off the new valvetrain. Should I change my oil again in a couple of hundred of miles, should I just replace the Filter, or not worry about it.

I can;t hear any ticking whatsoever and the man who did it is a trained mechanic, what should I listen for it the the Rockers or valvetrain is not setup correctly. I will probably take about a week or so to break everything in (about 250 miles)
I was told by many that the Lifters should be fine, AND I hope there Right.
I have a 3:73 setup with a 3000 stall, I have heard of people using bigger stalls with the 1.7 since it helps the Lt1's HP so much. I have a midwest stall so I get a Free restall, I am thinking about going with a 3500 with a 2.65 STR ( I have a 2.5 STR right now.) The car is my daily Transportation as well.
Any advice would be Greatly appreciated, Thanks

I would stay with the 3000 stall, you will only see about a 10-15rwhp gain. As for changing the oil, i dont think there should be any metal shavings from just a rr install. But it doesnt hurt to be on the safe side and change it anyways.

How did the EX 614's install ? IE: did the springs go right in as direct install, no machine work. I was wondering what the stock cam specs are for a 96. You got .510 / .521 with 1.7's what number did you use to get that spec ?
I'm real interested in your input on how much the 1.7's gained you !

.507/.520 Is what you'd get with 1.7's on a stock cam 205/207 duration @ 50*, .447/.459" lift, 117 Lobe Seperation Angle, Honestly I wouldn't plan to see more than 20hp gained from the 1.7's. I don't think you should worry about changing your oil either, but it never hurts
