Re: 1.7 roller rockers

If you do a search for 'scorpion' and '1.7' and you'll find quite a bit of info out there.

Here is a thread explaining the whole process with part numbers. Read the whole thing though, as I changed my mind a few times during the process.

Re: 1.7 roller rockers

The 1.7 rockers take your stock cam to .510/.521 lift. They change your @50 duration slightly. There is a little power in them. As soon as I get back home from Iraq I am installing them on a set of LE1 heads and getting a nice little tune. We will see how much power it makes.

Re: 1.7 roller rockers

Around .480/.490.... The 1.7s are good if you dont intend on installing a cam in the car. 1.6s are good to keep the future open to a cam.

Re: 1.7 roller rockers

If you dont plan on going with a cam afterwards then I would definately go with a set of Scorpion 1.7 RRs. They will require a little modification to the GMPP guideplates and the valve covers but other than that they are good to go. Make sure to check your geometry after install to help choose your pushrods. They should be the last thing you purchase to ensure proper alignment of the rockers over the valves.
