1.7 Roller Rocker question

Is there a certain kind that can be used on a LT1/4 style engines. Ebay has loads but they all seem to be for BBC with 7/16 stud. If used with a stock cam what type of spring preasure do they have to with stand?

Not many people have been successful with those on the LT1 engine. Those who made them work weren't completely pleased with the results and spent a lot of money to get there.

Get a higher lift cam and 1.6RR.

A boatload of people have been successful with 1.7rr on LT1s.

Haven't seen many posts that were unhappy with them and haven't seen many that spend a lot of money to do it.

Most just bolt them on without even checking geometry and they work fine (IMO not a good idea, but that's what most do.)

I have 1.7's on a cc305 and it works just fine. I had a touch of valve cover clearance issuse but that's with ~.580 lift and 230 duration. I bought the Scorpion 1.7's, you'll also need a set of Guide plates, wouldnt hurt to get a set of arp rocker studs, and for springs i went comp 918 Beehives and comp locks/retainers. You can get the scorpions in 3/8" stud if you want and they're about 210, but pretty much any of them will work I think
