1.6rr/valve Spring Install Done. Webpage Walkthough Posted.

Finished the install. Went very smoothly.

Gains are impressive and the new sound is equally awesome. With the e-cutout open of course

checkout the webpage. TONS of pictures. Vids will be up soon too.

enjoy!

awesome timing bro i was just going to order a set soon, and i wasnt sure if i was in over my head trying to do it myself or have them put on, but betweeen yours and shoeboxes pics i should be fine., only question is i notice some say go with non self-aligning what is the difference (as far as performance) and are the non self aligning alot better or whats the deal because if i would go the non-self aligning route i would probably have them put on if its too difficult but i would love to be able to do it on my own,

Sweet man awesome page. I've had rockers and springs for awhile now maybe I'll actually put them in. Oh and did the sound really change that much? with my cutout open right now it sounds pretty nice.

formula304 - I don't think that style of compressor will work only because the L shaped "fingers" that actually grab the coils dont go far enough inside the spring to reach an inner spring. Here's a dual valve spring comp but there's no way thats gonna fit under the cowl in the LT1 engine bay.

camarozz95 - The sound is deeper/louder through the whole rpm range and alot more noticable at idle. Open cutout of course

thanks for all the good responses!

I use the CRANE spring compression tool for dual springs with an air powered ratchet. Works great and fits well under the cowl:
