i am thinking of going into a small build-up for the t/a but i need some suggestions on what rr, cooler and gears to get i am only using the car for street use(occasional strip) and i just want a little more power to dip into the low to mid 13's. open for other suggestions.

Do the rockers and gears.Should put new valve springs in there also.The cooler will do squat for you so dont bother.Some sticky tires and headers would help too.

 

nitrous....will put you into the 13s easily. Or get headers, exhaust, gears/torque convertor. Aw, you said build up...well put in a cam/1.6rr/double valve springs. Youll have low-mid13s any of those ways.

 

you should be in the 13's stock- if not your free mods should have gotten you there already

 

Full exhaust, 3.73s for your A4 and M/Ts should net you low 13s maybe even 12.9.

 

i am pretty sure i can go 13's with my setup, but i want to go consistently in the 13.4-13.7 range. what are some usual prices for rr and gears, and what are the best for my setup. i know that 3.73's will net me easy into the 13's but will it hurt street drivability. what should i get instead of the cooler??

got me 13.2@106 on 2.0 and 1.9 60 fts with a slipping auto trans (hence high et for mph, especailly an auto )

I have GMPP 1.6 rr's, I haven't installed them yet. I got them sightly used for $150. New i think there about $250. I belive there the same rr as the crane gold rr's.

 

for sure i'm gonna get some rr, and some 3.73's. but if i get some headers i'll go with some shorties to keep my cut out. this coming year i need to get my inspection sticker so i eventually need to put all the exhaust back on. who should i order some gears from and what prices should i expect?

 

anyone have any other suggestions or things i should watch out for with these mods? what type of problems would i get with this setup?
