1.6 RR's or more cam?

Just weighing the options. I am thinking of upgrading my cam, but wonder what kind of performance improvement would I get from just swapping in 1.6 roller rockers? I could always add the cam later I figure.. BTW, we are talking about a stock F-car cam, 202/207 degrees, 0.450/0.460 lift...

ANybody have some data showing the improvment of JUST roller rockers?

A little while ago, a guy got 15-20 rwhp out of his rockers. However, he had headers, etc that would amplfy(sp?) the effect of the rr. I did Comp Cams 1.6rr a few weeks ago, and I love them. The car pulls a lot better and has much more top end. No dyno numbers yet. Most people see ~10-15rwhp.

you think intake/headers/exhaust/roller rockers would be close to ls1 territory? (~300rwhp)

With just intake, full exhaust, free mods, and tuning you should be able to put down over 300 rwHP. With the 1.6RRs you should definitly be there.

I ran a 13.4@102.6 1500' EElevation with free mods, intake, M6 with 3.73s and PCMforleSS tuning and put down 277 rwHP. I think headers and a catback will conservatively get me to 300-305, and 1.66 rrs and 52mm TB to 320 and in the high 12s for sure.

Yup. I put the foot down on a few bolt on auto LS1s from a roll. You would be a smidge faster than a stock M6 LS1 in this part of the country. I trap about 108 with my 6spd and full bolton setup.

Stock LS1s are in the 102-105 range from what I've seen at the track.
