i just installed 1.6 rr's and i was wondering if i should raise the rev limiter (have an A4), do i make more power up top? thanks

 

I believe it will more the power band up a bit. You do have aftermarket springs on there right?

Don't shift any higher than 5800, my power drops off like a rock above that.

 

Yeah the power will start to drop off around there with the stock cam. But even if it didn't i wouldn't take it over that with 1.6rr's and the stock springs.

 

Without better springs, you probably won't gain any power because the stock springs are at their limit with the 1.5 rockers. You need a set of LT4 springs and then you can raise the rev limit to 6000. The car is still pretty tapped out at that RPM.

I bought the ex components 612 springs... good to .600 lift (someone correct me if I'm wrong, but thats why I bought them) they arent too much $$ either.
