LT4 style Crane Gold will pop right in. Otherwise Comp Pro Magnums require you to notch the supports in hte valve covers.

Are you sure its a ticking rocker and not a ticking lifter?

Any rocker will tick if they are out of adjustment.

Do a search on 1.6 RR's to understand the difference between brands and styles. You should also change your valve springs with 1.6 RR's so as not to get into coil bind.

If you have a rocker arm contacting the internals of the valve cover, it should be pretty noticable when you pull it off. As mentioned above, a ticking noise could be a few others things as well, a lifter, an exhaust leak, or maybe your valves are in need of an adjustment. The Cranes will drop right in without any clearancing necessary. The Comps require some modification to the valve cover though.

I am about 90% shure its the rockers.Because the only side ticking is the drivers side and when I took off the drivers side cover I could see obrasions on a cupple rockers. The passanger side looks great and theirs no sound comming from the passanger side valve cover. What do you guys think of the rockers on ebay for $185.27;Go to ebay and type in lt1 roller rockers their the blue ones. Will they go in with no other mods? Thanks

I don't advise installing 1.6 rockers without changing the valve springs. Post a link to the rockers you are looking at. Don't rely on people going and searching for something that might not even end up being what you saw.

Rockers are pretty important. I would go with a major brand name. IMHO, Proform is not the best quality.

The comp rocker will work fine you just have to flatten out the braces under the valve covers with a pair of pliers and it will work without a problem.

It is also best to change your springs to be on the safe side.Unless you are running a big cam Thunderracing has the isky's which are good for 0.550 lift.

Those are not the ones you want if you want full roller rockers. No point in buying roller tipped rockers, IMHO. The $300+ ones (Pro Magnums) are the ones people are referring to.
