hi everbody i just bought crane cams roller rockers 1.6 s/a.. and i bought new pushrods same length, stock heads, and i was going to tighten the r/r and the bolt started to get tight, is there anything else i have to change the pushrod was still moving up and down i loosened it cause i didnt want to break anything???
i dont know if i have to change anything else.... thanks for any info u have...

 

first, dont loosen after theyre tightened the up/down play shouldnt be there either. tighten the nut slowly till you remove any up/down movement from the pushrod. give it another 1/2 turn past that, tighten the lock, and youre set

dont make the mistake of tightening (initially) till you remove all spin from the pushrod, only the up/down movement.

if youre to loosen at all after, loosen completely and retighten again. dont tighten down and then loosen.

make sense?

and i suppose you are tightening them at TDC #1 and #6, right?

Make sure the piece in the middle of the rocker body has the right side up.
